Policy Advocacy

Esperanza Community Housing Corporation’s Department of Policy implements and aligns Esperanza policy activities with the organization's mission, connecting programs and community activities to develop Esperanza’s organizational policy efforts. 

Using a racial, immigrant, and gender justice lens, the Policy Department outlines principles and strategies with which to engage in policy advocacy both within coalition spaces and as an individual organization.  

While our main goal is to provide an opportunity to impact grassroots and local policy affecting Los Angeles residents, we also work on state- and federal-level advocacy efforts that also have a significant impact on local communities
