Ashley J. Lewis

Ashley J. Lewis is a Senior Staff Analyst in the Housing for Health Department of the Los Angeles Department of Health Services where she currently leads outreach efforts for a program dedicated to connecting people experiencing homelessness to federal disability benefits.
Prior to working with the county, she was a community health worker and program manager at Esperanza Community Housing Corporation where she provided in-home asthma education to individuals and families in South Los Angeles. It was here that Ashley developed her understanding of how housing instability and hazardous environments impact the health of community residents.
Ashley graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in African and African American Studies and holds a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles.
